Our Location

The picturesque villages and hamlets that make up Gairloch nestle snugly by Loch Gairloch on the west coast of Scotland. (Geàrrloch means 'short loch' in Gaelic). Gairloch has wonderful clean sandy beaches; it is steeped in history; has boisterous dolphins, porpoises and seals playing in the loch; fishing boats in the harbour; an excellent 9 hole golf course; great opportunities for fishing, pony trekking  and some of the best and most varied walking in Scotland.

The most direct route from Inverness is to take the A9 north out of Inverness and follow the signs for Ullapool and the A835. Travel on this road until you reach the village of Garve. Once here take the road west (A832) following signs for Gairloch. It is a very scenic drive will take you past Loch Maree and through the Torridon Hills. As you enter Gairloch, turn left onto Pier Road carry on into the harbour, following signs for Gairloch Marine Life Centre, you will then find us located at the end of Pier Road overlooking the pontoon and with ample free parking and public toilets close by.  See our location on multimap.
