FIRST MINKE WHALE SIGHTING OF 2009! 28 April 2009 On the 28th April, during our two hour afternoon survey cruise, we recorded our first minke whale of the 2009 season. A sighting of a minke whale had also been reported just off Rua Reidh Lighthouse at the weekend and there have also been several sightings further south. We are delighted that the whales are arriving around our shores and hope this is a sign of things to come for the rest of the 2009 season! Click here to return to list of news items |
